The cards measure approx 4.25 x 6 inches on a fine art card, blank inside and comes with the envelope. (They look great in a frame too!) These fine art cards are reproductions of illuminated manuscript originals, scripted in the tradition of the Book of Kells by artist, Kevin Dillon. Using rediscovered medieval techniques, Kevin produces his own paints from crushed semi-precious stones, formulates the ink, scrapes and prepares the calfskin vellum, then meticulously scripts and illuminates each artistic piece, overlaying them with 24k gold. Kevin has been creating these manuscripts since 1988.
